C. WOERMANN hosts PAI Training Days 2013

For the third time the bi-annual PAI TRAINING DAYS were held at the technical training centre of C.Woermann (Nig.) Ltd between Dec 2nd and Dec 10th 2013.
During his opening speech, Mr Detlev Woermann, CEO of C.WOERMANN Germany, stressed the fact that a close link between the manufacturer, distributor and Nigeria end-user has become more and more important over the past years. Technical improvement of American and European truck manufacturers have become a challenge for the local transport industry that can only be overcome in a joint effort.
PAI, a US based company, is specialized on parts for US trucks. With their own production facilities in Atlanta and close connections to the US truck industry, PAI supply a wide range of parts in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) quality.
C. Woermann (Nig.) Ltd, being the official partner of PAI in Nigeria, supports the transport industry not only with parts but also service, technical support and product training.
The technical parts which took place over three days, were attended by over 300 participants from all over the country, both with a technical and a commercial background.
Mr Raul Avila, Sales engineer of PAI was already known to a number of participants from previous seminars. Some participants called him “the walking encyclopedia of Mack parts”.
Mr Avila was supported by Mr Alex Altisent, also from PAI USA, a specialist for truck electronics.
During the seminars, various technical themes were tackled, modern fuel injection, truck electronics and, most importantly, preventative maintenance on modern truck engines.
The general response of the attendants, when asked, was: I have learned something new!
The Head of Automotive at C.Woermann (Nig.) Ltd., Mrs Martina Ruehmann, during her closing speech, promised that there will be more seminars coming up in 2014.
